Migrating to a new hosting

Hello,

I’m glad to announce that I’m moving to a new hosting. WordPress.com is really good, but I want to have more features, configure my blog as I want, and be able to have a website or host some content or files.

Therefore, now I beg you to update your links. I’m not gonna post here anymore, everything will be posted on the new URL.

Steam games for free?

Yes, that is possible!

The other day I was surfing the web for some games, and I remembered that once I had a Steam version that allowed me to play a big bunch of Steam games for free, but it didn’t last a lot. With every update made for the Steam client, that modified Steam didn’t work anymore. Well, the thing is that I found a new one, one that seems to work much better and, in fact, it works much better. You can download and play more than 60 games (maybe 100 too), and you can play them online if you wish! Of course, not in official servers but cracked servers (almost all the servers from Argentina are cracked). So I gave it a try, and it works like a charm. The fact is that with every Steam update, the modified client keeps working, and moreover the authors are releasing updates every now and then. The project is alive!

Well, as me, if you wish to play steam games without giving away any money, just go here and register yourself to see the post. Then, follow the instructions and you will find yourself playing within a few hours! (the hours you spend downloading the game itself!).

Ubuntu Easter Eggs

Howdy!

Have you ever heard what an Easter Egg is? Well, if you answered no I’m gonna tell you what is it. An Easter Egg is a little surprise that the programmer of the application has left there for fun. Well, it is better if you see it for yourself.

Gnome:

• Press alt+F2 and type in: gegls from outer space
• Press alt+F2 and type in: free the fish (to stop it, do the alt+F2 thing again and type killall gome-panel
• Right click on any panel on your desktop. For example, the top panel. Go to preferences, then to Background tab, and select solid color. Now right click 3 times on any part of the sliding bar labeled style.

Firefox:

• Open your firefox, open a new tab and type in the URL field: about:mozilla

OpenOffice.org Spreadsheet

• Go to the first cell, and type in: =GAME(A2:C4;”TicTacToe”)
• Go to the first cell, and type in: =GAME(”StarWars”)

Console:

• Type in: apt-get moo
• Type in: aptitude moo, then add the -v option, like this: aptitude -v moo. Now keep adding v’s to the option and have a good laugh.

Not from ubuntu, but also great:

• Open a console and type in: telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl
